"Protecting wildlife together" is an awareness and educational project about the illegal trade in wild and endangered animals. This trade is the world’s fourth-largest transnational crime and has serious consequences for biodiversity, ecosystems, and people in the Global South. The project aims to foster knowledge, attitudes, and action among its target audience and to demonstrate that change can be achieved through collaboration between actors in the Global South and North—by addressing both the supply side in the countries of origin (in this case, Indonesia) and the demand side in the EU/Denmark.
The project includes the broadcast of a documentary on DR (Danish Broadcasting Corporation), events and an exhibition at Copenhagen Zoo, as well as educational programs on Gyldendal Uddannelse’s platform. The project is a collaboration between CFC Short & Doc and Copenhagen Zoo, with Gyldendal Uddannelse, Planet2030, and NGOs in Indonesia as external partners.
