2016 marks the 150 years anniversary of COOP. Since reverend Hans Chr. Sonne and a group of dedicated Thisted citizens on May 6 1866 established the first viable consumer co-op, Denmark has changed radically, and the co-ops and their contribution to society has played a significant part in this development.
In cooperation with Samvirke, CFC Short & Doc. has produced the documentary, We’ll Meet in Brugsen, a historic and cultural-political account of the impact of COOP on Danish society. The documentary has been directed by Anna Elisabeth Jessen and has been produced in three different lengths of which the long version was shown in 70 cinemas across the country in connection with the anniversary celebrations.
