DENMARK - A CO-OPERATIVE COUNTRY

At the end of the 19th century, Denmark saw the beginning of a strong co-operative movement. The consumer co-operatives, Brugsen, were the first, followed by the dairy- and the slaughterhouse co-operatives along with many others small co-operatives. Small dairy- and pig farmers joined forces and shared the profits.

The Story of the Danish Co-operative Movement – an entertaining and informative series in the three parts produced for Danish television, DRK.
